A screen-free interval for relaxation

Putting a screen aside can be one practical choice for a quiet interval. Keep the arrangement convenient, optional, and suited to the way you use the room.

Give the device an ordinary place

Choose a stable shelf or table where the device can rest without blocking other objects. Consider whether you need to remain reachable and make the choice according to your circumstances. The journal does not prescribe a rule about being unavailable.

If you normally follow yoga or relaxation guidance on the device, distinguish that use from browsing several unrelated things. You might keep the relevant page ready or choose a familiar non-screen activity for this particular interval.

Try a manageable pause

Sit somewhere comfortable for an ordinary rest or read a short wellness note before putting it down. There is no requirement to complete a breathing exercise, hold a posture, or produce silence. Choose a modest interval that can end without a complicated reset.

Afterwards, notice whether the device’s resting place was convenient and whether you want to use it again. A practical preference does not need to become a permanent rule. The useful arrangement is one that leaves a little room for the kind of rest you actually choose.
